#BlerdTV You Should Be Watching This Summer [VIDEO]
Summer is nearly upon us, and as our favorite shows prepare for their finales, a new crop is ready to hold our attention for the next three months. Our premiere calendar below will help you make sure you don’t miss a thing.
There is a very diverse slate of shows on the way this summer, with returning shows like Orange Is The New Black and The Strain, along with new shows like Sense8 and Fear The Walking Dead. Summer series are usually used as filler to occupy the airwaves until the fall season bows, but this summer looks to be packed with blerd-friendly content. The series that have piqued our interest most are highlighted, and you can find a printable calendar for all the shows below.
This thriller from the mind of M. Night Shyamalan, Wayward Pines follows an FBI agent who wakes up from a car accident in a mysterious town. It doesn’t take long for him to realize that things aren’t quite right, but escape is not an option. Time flows at a different pace than it does in the rest of the world, and there are cameras everywhere watching his every move. Most eerily, a standing rule to always answer the phone brings orders to the town’s residents from their unknown captors. I’ve seen the first episode, and I am completely and utterly hooked already.
What if those imaginary friends that children play with weren’t really imaginary? What if they were something more sinister instead? That is the storyline that The Whispers follows. This sci-fi thriller looks enthrallingly creepy, and the mystery of just who these imaginary friends really are (and what their goal is) seems a big enough hook to hold viewer interest.
But there are many more new shows for us blerds to watch this summer. Check out the calendar below, and click the image for an enlarged and printable view.
