President Obama’s New State of the Union Ad Looks Like He’s Selling Dos Equis
“I don’t always give a State of the Union Address, but when I do, I slay that shit.” In my imagination, that’s what President Obama is saying here. Don’t judge me.
Let me be honest right now and say that I am one thousand percent here for President Obama’s fine ass and all of the innuendo in this picture.
I may be accused of being too much of a fan of President Obama. And, perhaps it’s my bleeding heart but I do indeed have a soft spot for him. His road to and through the White House has certainly not been easy. While I may critique some of the choices he has made over the past eight years, I can definitely appreciate the work he has put in.
His newest promotion for the 2016 State of Union address though? All of the yass.
First of all, I saw this picture and thought someone had CGI’ed the President into a Courvoisier commercial. I was waiting for Puff Daddy or P. Diddy or Sean Combs or Puffy or Puff or Diddy to walk up with scantily clad ladies, a bottle of something brown, and a tailored suit. Then, I realized this was the actual ad that the White House decided on for the President’s final address. It made me remember that this man is still a Black man and he gives zero fucks right now.
Look at the jubilation on this man’s face. It says, “Y’all tried it but I got something for that ass.” I mean, I might be reading more into it but the general gist is there.
President Obama is on his way out of the White House after a pretty successful run. He knows he slayed it. He knows his wife is fine. He knows his daughters are gorgeous, brilliant, carefree Black girls. And, his facial expression is saying alladat.
Can we just have a moment of silence for that bowtie though? While I think it is supposed to look like President Obama is putting it on, I choose to believe he is taking it off. See, the way my imagination is set up…
No, but really. President Obama has been trolling the hell out of Republicans for years now. This ad looks to say that he has some surprises in store for next week’s address. Either way, I’m getting my popcorn ready cause chile, I know it’s about to be crazy.
Tune into the President’s final State of the Union Address on Tuesday, January 12th on most major news stations.
