Kimye Delivers Baby Girl

"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute GalaTime for Jay-Z and Beyonce to start scheduling those play dates.

Early Saturday morning, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were admitted to Cedars Sinai (and their rumored birthing suite) to deliver their baby girl. And now, per TMZ, we can confirm that the spawn of Yeezy and Kim K has entered the world. Word is that the baby was delivered naturally and 5 weeks early.

True to form, details surrounding the pregnancy, and now birth, have been nil. Well, that is unless you watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians. That was where they announced the sex of their child. Just remember, everything is for press and ratings. I’m sure they’ll also keep as much information private as they can until they can debut the birth in an E! Television special, sure to be a two night event at least 2 hours in length.

I’m wondering how we are all supposed to feel about this. If we are to believe that they started their relationship in April of 2012 and their baby’s due date was somewhere in the middle of July, that would put their conception sometime in October, after about 7 months of dating. If these weren’t celebrities, wouldn’t they be getting the worst side-eye ever? And since they are such high-profile names, what kind of example are they setting?

That’s not to say that they have been the prototypes for model behavior in their careers, but really? She was just married. And from there you get knocked up by someone else in less than a year? Then you get the glam birthing experience? Sensationalize the whole experience and then let it play out again on your reality TV show.

At its heart, there is something pretty disgusting about it all. Where do you draw the line between life and entertainment? Where does reality end and fantasy begin? In Kim’s life, it seems like they all comingle. Everything is fabulous and subject to editing from producers. And that is a dangerous image to send out into the world.

But for now, let’s just congratulate the happy couple. Good luck with parenting a child in the glass house you live in. You and your daughter are going to need it.

What are your feelings about the new arrival? Have a message to say to the happy family? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!

Yes Kim and Kanye love the spotlight and I don’t even watch Kim’s reality show…but why not congratulate them on a healthy baby that came out over a month early? Why just focus on all the negative? Right, her short marriage to Kris didn’t work out, but she filed for divorce long before it was settled. He was pretty bitter about it. Apparently Kim moves on fast. Celebs aren’t angels and people need to quit looking up to them so much. Parents need to teach their children NOT to look up to celebrities and focus on doing good themselves. That shows that they make mistakes just like we do.

I understand your point. And congratulations are due for a healthy delivery.
The problem is that Kim’s entire life has become entertainment, so I can’t even really congratulate her properly. We won’t really know all the details until it airs on her show. And even then, the facts are sure to be questionable. Like I said, her entire life is now under control by scripting and editing. And since her every move is front page news, it’s pretty difficult to avoid.
